| Q: | What is the Group structure? |  | | A: | The ASE Group consists of two key members: ASE Inc. and ASE Test Limited. The former concentrates on assembly services while the latter focuses on test services.
ASE Inc., the parent company, owns 100% of ASE Test Limited ("ASE Test"); and 18.7% of Universal Scientific Industrial.
ASE Test owns subsidiaries ASE Malaysia (100%) and Silicon Valley-based ISE Labs (100%).
The Group collectively owns 100% of ASE Korea, acquired from Motorola in 1999, and 100% of ASE Japan, acquired from NEC Electronics Corporation in May 2004.

Wafer Probing: IDMs, wafer foundries and other independent testing houses
