How to configure my media player to view CANcast smoothly?

Generally speaking, you can view webcast smoothly if your hardware configuration and connection bandwidth is powerful enough. Furthermore, CANcast provides you with a hint: adjust your media player's buffering time in order to smoothen the webcast when your internet connection is unstable. Please configure your media player (for Windows Media Player 9) according to the following steps:

  1. Select "Options" under "Tools"
  2. Adjust the "Buffering" time according to your needs (Within 10 seconds is recommended)

Why can't I view CANcast smoothly?

  • The most common reason is inadequate bandwidth for your internet connection (e.g. you can't view broadband video), we suggest you to apply for ADSL or Cable Modem services.
  • Failure may be due to network instability / disconnection or other technical problems. Please don't be panic, CANcast's alert system will detect signal disconnection and our technicians will fix the problem immediately.
  • Firewall settings or other security measures of your company's network environment may forbid you to view streaming media, we suggest you to report the issue to your company's MIS officer who may need to adjust relevant network configurations.
